Fitting Process
When you shop at one of our stores you will be greeted by a friendly and knowledgeable service associate. Our process may differ from others and we want to get you into the shoe that is the most comfortable and more importantly, the right shoe for you!
What this entails:
-
Bring your old running/walking shoes if you can
-
Expect to run or walk on our in store treadmill. There we will perform our video gait analysis.
-
We want to know all about your fitness routine, what are you training for, type of running or walking you are doing, shoes you have, injuries or problem areas. Orthotics?
-
We will have you walk for us barefoot first while we watch how your foot transitions through the various phases of movement.
-
We can also have you walk or run for us on the treadmill while we roll the videotape.
-
Once a video is captured, we can play it back frame by frame and you can see how your body moves.
-
Measure your feet, both of them. Take note that you will generally go up in size from a half to full size from your dress or work shoes.
-
We will bring up a few selections based on the information we have observed during the prior steps.
-
While trying on the shoes, we will ask you to jump on the treadmill where we will videotape you again and look to make sure the shoe is functioning with your foot properly.
-
Could you benefit from an orthotic, if you don't currently have one.
We want you to be 100% satisfied with your selection. Every shoe will have a slightly different feel and fit. Our goal is for you to be in the best footwear for your biomechanics.
